Leadership Team

Kimball Norup —Senior Vice President and General Manager
Kimball joined Collabrus in 2007 serving for two years as Chief Marketing Officer for both Collabrus and sister company, M Squared Consulting. Prior to joining the company, Kimball was Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Nelson Family of Companies. Before Nelson, Kimball was Vice President - Business Development for eSolo.com, and before that was Vice President - Marketing & Sales for Noverus. Kim was with Geodex International for eight years, the last four of which he served as President. He graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and earned an MBA from the University of California at Davis.

Alicia Gousis —Vice President, Business Development
Alicia focuses on developing new client relationships and executing future growth initiatives for Collabrus. She brings 15 years experience in business development and client services, along with her broad experience in human resource and compliance solutions. Prior to joining the company Alicia served as a District Manager in the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) sector, working for Administaff. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Jose State University.

Walter Branam —Compliance Services Manager
Walt has over 30 years of experience working with The State of California’s Employment Development Department (CA EDD) in labor and tax audits. As a former Tax Auditor, Tax Administrator, facilitator of the CA EDD’s first Taxpayer Rights Advocate Program, and designer of the CA EDD’s Settlement Program his knowledge of the Federal and State employment laws, regulations, and audit criteria provides valuable insight into how to prevent worker misclassification. Walt has been a featured speaker before numerous industry and professional groups and brings his compliance expertise to the private sector as the in-house Worker Classification and Employment Tax Compliance Specialist at Collabrus Inc. Walt has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Masters of Business Administration from California State University, Long Beach.

Dirk Sodestrom —Chief Financial Officer
Dirk joined the company as Chief Financial Officer in November 2009. Prior to joining Collabrus he spent 3 years as the Corporate Controller for Actel Corporation, a publicly traded semiconductor manufacturer in Mountain View, California. From 1991 to 2006 he served as the Controller and then Chief Financial Officer of Westaff, Inc., a publicly traded temporary staffing firm headquartered in Walnut Creek, California. Dirk began his career as an auditor with PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He is a certified public accountant (inactive) and holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration and Accounting.

Dirk is also Chief Financial Officer of Collabrus’ sister company, M Squared Consulting.
